The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) had mandated a ban on plastic and had started Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rule’16. The idea of starting this rule was to collect and dispose of plastic waste material generated to establish environment-friendly plastic waste disposal solutions.
S K Oil is a socially aware company that is completely committed to disposing of all plastic waste along with other disposal partners. S K Oil has collaborated with recyclers and has initiated a post-consumer plastic waste disposal plan in place. With this plan, the waste will be segregated into two ways post which the collected waste is then converted into reprocessed granules or used in road construction.
S K Oil has begun with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) implementation in FY’20-21 as per government legislation and completed obligation for the year as per the recent audit reports. We plan to practice 4R’s approach which includes ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover’ for the waste and minimize the environmental impact.
