Sustainable Palm Policy

S K Oil believes in 'delivering excellence' that leads to 'achieve excellence' through proper management with present resources that meet the needs of the future. Palm oil is one of the most important ingredients in business and S K Oil recognizes its value of it.

S K Oil aims at commencing on the journey of sustainability and contributing to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The policy aims to showcase that commitment towards supporting and moving towards sustainability in the palm oil industry wholeheartedly for sustainable development and a bright future. This sustainability policy specifically relates to land degradation and deforestation, food security and nutrition, no poverty, stopping biodiversity loss, combating climate change, and much more.

Scope Of Policy

S K Oil will not only work closely with the suppliers to get full sustainability but will also engage with all the stakeholders. This will help them to comply with the policy and get benefits from its implementation within a short period.

The sustainability policy sets the commitment for processing and sourcing of palm oil that applies to S K Oil in India.

Commitments & Actions

We shall ensure that by December 2025, Palm oil supplied by us is in conformance with “ No deforestation, No Peat & No exploitation” NDPE compliance supply chains.
We shall source Palm oil from RSPO members and source 100 percent physical certified RSPO palm oil by December 2025
We shall influence our suppliers to the extent possible for minimizing supplier’s greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) linked to palm oil production and processing. This shall be done by December 2025.
We shall encourage our suppliers for inclusion of small holders, Support livelihoods of smallholder growers , Ensure that smallholders are being paid living wages, and Support local communities for their sustainable development. This shall be done by December 2025.
We shall participate with industry platforms where we can engage and drive collective change with NGOs, supply chain actors and other relevant stakeholders. This shall be done by December 2025.
We shall ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations for Palm oil Sourcing In India. This shall be ensured on continual basis.
We believe that traceability is the main stage of assessment that helps in understanding the risks and opportunities for improvement in respect of the palm oil sourced, processed, and traded in our facility. S K Oil promises to work closely with trusted suppliers to improve transparency and traceability to achieve full traceability to the industries. This shall be done on continual basis. This shall be ensured on continual basis.

This sustainability policy and traceability help in improving the smallholder inclusion in the palm oil supply chain which helps in increasing the productivity and reducing the risk of expansion.
